The Artist

I'm an oil painter with a Business Administration degree in both Marketing and International business. After working the corporate life for over 10 years while creating art in the background, I decided to pursue art full time in 2020. Soon after, I began becoming accepted in galleries and became an avid oil painter. I'm largely self-taught, although I did take some undergraduate classes and other coursework to supplement my independent studies.

I began drawing around 11 years old, and I finally had the courage to pick up a paint brush almost 20 years later. I like to drink both tea and coffee, play video games, cook, garden, write, and much more. Usually I'm is wearing a smock covered in paint, while chasing a rambunctious daughter who has a tendency to steal art supplies.

The Work

When viewing the work, you’ll find that the themes, techniques, and subject matter are about as varied as life itself. All of the paintings are approached with a playful exuberance in exploring the world through art - so nothing is safe from the artist’s brush. It is the simple joy found in unlikely juxtapositions, looking at commonplace subjects in a different way, incorporating new techniques, that the artist creates a constantly evolving body of work. This approach can be likened to a child exploring the world with intense curiosity, and while all other aspects of a painting may change, the heart remains the same. Joy in the simple act of creation.
